  • Jan’s Silver Jubilee

    Jan’s Silver Jubilee
11th April – 7pm onwards. Can we drink this pub dry? Challenge accepted Tysoe…

25 years ago Jan arrived as the new landlady at the Peacock… the rural community was in the throes of a foot and mouth outbreak, and since then an awful lot has happened, Jan has seen it all. As the resident Tysoe social oracle whilst running a traditional #wetpub concentrating on delivering excellent well-kept ales and lagers Jan has become a stalwart in the village.

25 years in Tysoe (and a lifetime in hospitality before that) is not to be sniffed at, especially in these challenging times. Join us on the 11th of April at the Peacock Inn to celebrate a job well done – because we all need a reason to kick back and forget the world beyond our wonderful village.

  • National Theatre – All My Sons

National Theatre – All My Sons

Sunday 26th April sees All My Sons, directed by Ivo Van Hove with design by Jan Versweyveld, shown at the Village Hall.

Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad) and Marianne Jean-Baptiste (Hard Truths) feature in a five-star, triumphantly acclaimed new production of Arthur Miller’s classic play, from visionary director Ivo Van Hove (A View from the Bridge).

One family, the heart of the American dream. When wartime delivers profits for Joe, it comes at a price when his partner is charged with criminal manufacturing deals, and his eldest son goes missing in action. Will peacetime bring peace of mind, or will he be confronted by the consequence of his actions?

Filmed live from the West End, Paapa Essiedu (I May Destroy You), Tom Glynn-Carney (House of the Dragon), and Hayley Squires also feature in this disturbingly prescient play.
