Tysoe’s Neighbourhood Plan is being updated
Our Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) will be 5 years old in February next year and we are working on a number of updates so it will continue providing robust protection against unwanted or inappropriate development in the village.
The modifications we are proposing are mostly quite minor. However, two of the proposed changes are more material but we don’t believe that they change the nature or meaning of the original Plan on which the village was consulted. These two material changes affect Housing Policy 1, where we are proposing wording to eliminate any ambiguity in its meaning, and Natural Environment Policy 7, where we are proposing changes to reflect the latest environmental guidelines introduced at a national level.
We encourage all residents to access and read the various documents that we have prepared and to give us any comments by 8th September by either sending them to the Parish Clerk at parish.clerk@tysoe-pc.gov.uk using the subject “Tysoe NDP update comments” or posting your comments through the letterbox in the village hall front door addressed to Parish Clerk. All comments should show the name and address of the person responding in order to be eligible for consideration.
A village meeting will be held on 13th August in the village hall from 7.00pm to 9.00pm to allow residents an opportunity to ask questions about the update.
The following documents can be found here:
- The existing “Made Plan”
- The Modification Proposal Statement and Appendix
- A schedule of Proposed updates to Tysoe NDP
- A draft Proposed update schedule
- A draft updated NDP
All comments are welcome and a final draft modified Plan will be submitted to the District Council soon after the close of the consultation on 8th September. It is important that village residents participate in this consultation.
Alongside the NDP consultation we are launching a new Housing Needs Survey which can be found on the same web page. We encourage everyone to complete this survey as it provides a valuable insight into what village residents need.
