    Village Open Day

    On the 16th May between 11am-2pm, Tysoe Village Hall will again host the Parish Council Village Open Day.

    The annual event is open to all village organisations and clubs to host a table and submit a report. This will be a showcase of everything that makes Tysoe special.

    Please come along, tea, coffee and cakes will be served.

    On the 27th May Tysoe Village Hall will screen a charming and captivating true story of a stubborn and amusingly self-centered Australian man who decides to walk the 800 kilometer-long Camino de Santiago pilgrimage route through Spain. He doesn’t know why he’s doing it, but one step at a time it will change him and his outlook on life forever. Based on Bill Bennett’s best selling memoir of the same name, The Way, My Way has been described by Camino elder statesman Johnnie Walker as the most authentic film ever made about the Camino.

    Content guidance: rated PG for coarse language and is generally considered suitable for older children/teenagers, with some sites suggesting 14+ or PG ratings for its gentle, reflective nature

  • Road Closure – Oxhill Road

    Road Closure – Oxhill Road

    Warwickshire County Council hereby closes Oxhill Road, Tysoe to vehicular traffic.

    Reason for closure : To enable urgent works to renew a leaking water pipe.

    Closure Effective from : 15 April 2026 for a period of up to 5 days or until works are completed, whichever is the sooner.

    Anticipated Completion date : 17 April 2026

    Access & Diversion : An alternative route is available via Main Street, Lower Tysoe Road, Radway Road, Banbury Road, Stratford Road, Kineton Road, Whatcote Road, Tysoe Road, Oxhill Road and vice versa.

    The Tysoe & District Record is produced and distributed entirely by a team of dedicated volunteers and has been reporting on events in our village for over 75 years.

    Editorially, they try to cover a wide rate of engaging topics, from local history to wildlife, from arts and crafts to sports, social activities and topics of the day. There are also regular reports from various village groups and societies.
