Giving visitors unique access to over 3,500 exceptional private gardens in England, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Channel Islands.
All whilst raising impressive amounts of money for nursing and health charities.
What did we achieve last year?
In July 2025 NGS had many great Tysoe gardens for visitors to enjoy, showcasing various sizes and styles which show the diversity of our village gardeners.
Tysoe Village Hall was delighted to be supporting this fundraising event and offered a central location for visitors to the village to have a comfortable “pit stop” to rest their feet and enjoy homemade cake, made and served by members of Tysoe WI and Village Friends, washed down with freshly made tea and coffee.
The culmination of all this work was to raise an incredible £4,525, which was presented to the NGS by Sue and Mike Sanderson, who co-ordinated the event.
What are the plans for 2026?
On the 27th and 28th June 2026 Tysoe will open seven delightful gardens under The National Garden Scheme to the public to fundraise through admissions.
Tysoe Village Hall will, once again, provide a welcome stop for refreshments and cakes, facilities and taking the weight off your feet.

It will also host a stop on our circular bus route, kindly provided by the Shipston Link as part of their own fundraising efforts – as they provide an essential service linking local villages and residents – by helping our many garden visitors traverse across the village.
And – as a little extra – look out for Village Hall volunteers in uniform!
